Bruce began his tenure in August 2011. As our Interim Lead Pastor, he provides visionary leadership; ministry oversight; staff management and mentoring; and the faithful exposition of God’s Word to our congregation. Bruce has worn many different ministry hats throughout the years including pastoring multi-staff churches in Stratford, Ontario and Lloydminster, Alberta; conducting more than 200 church crusades across North America; functioning as a vice-president at Tyndale University College & Seminary in Toronto; and serving as an interim pastor in several churches. He is also the founder and president of Church Growth Resources, which provides vision casting, organizational integrity, and strategic ministry planning to large churches in the United States and Canada. Bruce attended Central Baptist Seminary (now Heritage). He is married to Glenis, and they have two married children and two grandchildren.

Dan joined the West Park staff in May 2009. He serves as our Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries, giving leadership to a wide range of small group, discipleship, outreach, care, prayer, and connection ministries. Dan was blessed to minister for seven years in a similar role at Orangeville Baptist Church and for several years as part of the adult ministry team at Harvest Bible Chapel in suburban Chicago. He received both a Bachelor of Religious Studies and a Master of Divinity from Heritage College & Seminary. Dan is married to Carla, and they have three little girls: Julia and Kelsey (twins) and Lauren. He enjoys reading, watching sports, and having tea parties with his daughters.

Jeff has served as the Associate Pastor of Worship Ministries here at West Park since October 2005. He leads our weekly services and oversees the vocal, instrumental, and technical teams that help to create an atmosphere of worship. Before coming to West Park, Jeff served for almost eight years at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chatham and part-time at a congregation in Guelph while he was a student. He graduated from Heritage College with a Bachelor of Church Music. Jeff and his wife Ellie have four kids: Caleb, Moriah, Jadyn, and Kaelyn. When he has spare time, Jeff enjoys fishing, boating, NASCAR, and football.

John accepted the part-time position of Associate Pastor of Congregational Care and Senior Adult Ministries in January 2012, helping to cultivate a culture of caring throughout our church. He has served for nearly 40 years in various pastoral roles, mostly in southern Ontario within the circle of Fellowship Baptist churches, including two previous stints here at West Park. John has a big heart for the world, having given leadership to Russian Gospel Ministries International for four years. He is a graduate of both Toronto Bible College and Queen’s University. John and his wife Vivian have two married children and six grandchildren. He loves being a grandpa and enjoys reading and painting.

Steve has been an active part of the West Park family for 30 years. He worked in the horticultural industry before joining the staff team in June 2006 as Director of Children and Family Ministries. In this role, Steve gives direction to all of our initiatives for kids from birth through grade five, with a goal of equipping parents to promote faith at home. Steve is about halfway through a Master of Theological Studies degree at Heritage Seminary. He is married to Heather, and they have three children: Sarah, Joshua, and Leah. Steve relaxes by unleashing his creativity through sketching, painting, and woodworking.

Brad is our Associate Pastor of Student Ministries, a role that he began in September 2007. He oversees our jr. high (grades 6-8), sr. high (grades 9-12), and young adult programs, seeking to ignite a passionate love for God in the hearts of students, and helping them to mature into leaders who are committed to impacting our world. Brad previously served as a Youth Pastor for six years at University Drive Alliance Church in Alberta and Prairieview Community Church in Saskatchewan. He graduated from Briercrest Bible College with a B.A. in youth ministry. Brad and his wife Cortney have one young daughter, Haley. He loves sports, travelling, movies, and reading.
Mike Gordon | Young Adult Ministries Intern | Email
Mike started speaking to our young adults group, Twenty9, in September 2010 and by January 2011 was introduced as our Young Adult Ministries Intern. During his time here, he has also launched a ministry called One, bringing together young adult groups from various churches within London through united events. On the side, Mike runs a campus church at Fanshawe College and speaks under The Rock House Ministries, which he founded while living in Toronto. He has had the opportunity to speak close to 600 times over the last nine years of ministry. Mike received a B.A. in theology from Canada Christian College. In his free time, he enjoys playing every sport except for soccer (which isn’t a real sport), fantasy football, drumming, and looking for his future wife whom he hopes to dazzle with his homemade potpourri.
