The Life Training Centre is the adult education ministry of West Park Church. Our focus is on knowledge that impacts head, heart, and hands . . . learning for living. We equip and encourage men and women to take continued steps in their lifelong journey of following Jesus Christ.
We offer periodic short-term modular courses on a wide variety of topics. Courses take place primarily on Sunday mornings during the fall, winter, and spring, with occasional mid-week offerings as well.
We have an ongoing mid-sized gathering on Sunday mornings during our 10:45 am worship service that is designed especially with our 50-and-over crowd in mind (but open to all). It begins with a half-hour of hymn singing, testimonies, ministry updates, praise and prayer, etc. This is followed by about 45 minutes of practical, biblical instruction. The following classes run January 8 through February 26.
Bible Characters
- Dave Shadd, Jack Patten, Jake Leyenaar, and Bob Wilson will each examine a different Bible character (Jonathan, Malachi, Daniel, and Samson) during the month of January, and then Wally and Jeannie Stephenson will spend the four weeks of February looking at the travels and teachings of the apostle Paul.
Gospel of Matthew
- Don Robinson will launch a study of the first book of the New Testament, considering its emphasis on Jesus as the Jewish Messiah and its focus on prophecy.
