The Ladies’ Connection

The Ladies’ Connection (TLC) is a weekly small group Bible study ministry that is designed to “reach, build up, and equip” women of all ages and life stages.  It provides an opportunity for ladies from West Park and beyond to connect with God and others in a relaxed environment.  TLC meets on Wednesday mornings, and age-specific childcare is provided at no cost.

The winter session of TLC runs Wednesdays, January 25 to February 29 from 9:30-11:15 am.  The study options are as follows:

  • The Christian Atheist

Does your belief in God impact your life?  If the answer is no, you may be a “Christian atheist” – someone who believes in God but lives like he doesn’t exist.  In The Christian Atheist, a six-session DVD study, pastor and author Craig Groeschel leads you on a personal journey toward an authentic, God-honouring life.  Become more than “Christian in name” through this eye-opening look into how you can surrender to God completely, living every day depending upon the Holy Spirit.  Discover a powerful, intimate relationship with God for yourself and you will never be the same.

> Homework: The weekly lessons require approximately 15 minutes of study time.

> Cost: $10.

  • Made to Crave

According to author Lysa Terkeurst, craving isn’t a bad thing – but we must realize that God created us to crave so we would ultimately desire more of him in our lives. Many of us have misplaced that craving, overindulging in food instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction. This six-session DVD study uncovers the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment to make it happen. What once seemed so impossible to you is more than possible with God.  An amazing spiritual journey lies ahead.

> Homework: Between the weekly lessons, personal Bible study requires approximately 10-15 minutes each day.

> Cost: $10.

  • Romans

Sometimes our worship loses its passion.  Our prayer life becomes stagnant.  We forget why we are serving God, and the world’s way subtly becomes our way.  If you have ever struggled to share what it means to follow Christ, the New Testament book of Romans can give you the right words to say.  Romans addresses these problems and shows us how we can break out of old patterns and become new in Christ.  Most people come to faith in Jesus without understanding all the ins and outs of how a person is redeemed, transformed, sealed, and sanctified for that day when we will all stand before the Lord.  The book of Romans articulates the foundations of Christian belief.  This study may be a turning point for you.  The LifeGuide Bible Study workbook helps you dive into the book of Romans and provides an opportunity for you to meet God in personal reflection.

> Note: This study runs January 25 to April 25, covering both the winter and spring sessions.

> Homework: The weekly lessons require approximately 30-40 minutes of study time.

> Cost: $10.
