KidsWalk

KidsWalk is our Sunday morning environment for elementary-aged kids (Grades 1-6). In KidsWalk, we believe the Bible is never boring, so the energy is high, stories are fun and interactive, and the most incredible group leaders bring meaning and purpose to every moment.

The bible-based lessons we walk through week after week often point to three basic truths that kids need to know as they head into the challenges of Jr high grades:

1. I need to make wise choices.

2. I can trust God no matter what.

3. I need to treat others the way I want to be treated.

Our focus for KidsWalk is that as kids grow and mature through the elementary grades into Jr high, truths like these will help shape the way they process all of the challenges that life is going to bring them.

A typical morning at KidsWalk for your family would look something like this:

You wake up early Sunday, and the entire family is just itching with excitement about getting to church! Everybody’s moving quickly, whistling or humming a happy tune, and giving each other all kinds of bathroom time, putting others first and generally making home, nay even your neighborhood, a happier place to be. (If this is a typical morning for your home, please do not come to KidsWalk…you may be aliens.)

When you arrive at the church, if mom and dad are headed for the worship service in the main auditorium, kids in grades 1-5 simply go with them and make the most of the opportunity for your family to connect in worship TOGETHER. Since our culture and our own schedules rarely make room for such experiences, make note that these are precious moments for your family. If parents are headed for a bible discovery class, feel free to check your kids in with their group leaders at their room before you head to your class.

When prompted in the service, kids are encouraged to exit and take part in KidsWalk. They are escorted securely from the auditorium to the general purpose room in the children’s wing where it all kicks off. They participate in a time of discovery, fun and learning from great leaders and mentors. At the end of the morning, parents will come from the main auditorium to sign their kids out at the check in desk in the main kids ministry room.
