Prayer

We seek to encourage the people of West Park to “bring everything to God in prayer.”  We do this by offering regular corporate prayer gatherings; by providing ministry, missionary, and congregational requests for use in personal and group prayer times; and by praying specifically for urgent needs.

Prayer Network >> This is a vital link and a source of great encouragement to the West Park family.  It is not a time-consuming ministry, but one that can be done without leaving your home or workplace as you pray for the personal needs of others.  Anyone willing and able to pray for urgent, personal prayer requests is invited to be a part of the prayer network.  Let us know if you have a prayer need or if you would like to participate on the team.  For more information, please contact Lorraine Dykstra at (519) 471-7460 x201 or by email.

Prayer Guide >> We produce a monthly prayer guide that includes ministry, missionary, and congregational requests.  We distribute it as widely as possible and encourage its use in all West Park gatherings where prayer takes place, including adult LifeGroups.  For more information, please contact Jackie Shaw at (519) 471-7460 x203 or by email.

Prayer & Bible Study >> Join us each Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:00 pm in the board room for a brief Bible study and a time of focused prayer for a variety of needs within the life of our church.  For more information, please contact Don Robinson at (519) 657-8065 or by email.

Call to Prayer >> This group prays for the elders, staff, ministries, and volunteers of our church, the unbelieving friends and loved ones of our West Park congregation, and also for many of our ill.  Come out on Wednesday mornings from 10:00-11:00 am in the prayer room.  For more information, please contact Don Robinson at (519) 657-8065 or by email.

During-Service Prayer >> Several people gather in the prayer room during our Sunday morning worship services to pray that the Holy Spirit would be powerfully at work in our gatherings.  Participants serve on a monthly basis.  For more information, please contact Wes Clow at (519) 666-1016 or by email.

Post-Service Prayer >> At the end of our Sunday morning worship services, we often provide the opportunity for people to receive prayer and encouragement from some of our ministry leaders.

Elder Anointing & Prayer >> The Elders are available upon request to anoint with oil and pray for those who are sick according to the instructions in James 5:13-16.  The Elders would consider it a great privilege to serve you in this way.  If you would like to receive this ministry, please contact the church office at (519) 471-7460 or by email and an Elder will  be in touch with you.
